Spark:

New Zealand’s first Virtual 3D Store

LISTEN: During the Covid lockdown we recognised a challenge for consumers trying to shop from home.

TRANSLATE: We translated this thought into an idea to create a web purchase experience which was 3D rather than 2D and more closely mimicked the in person browsing experience.

DESIGN: The innovative design blended spatial and game design techniques to create a 3D world also allowed customers to explore and browse key products, and connect with retail staff from the safety of their homes.

DELIVER: Developed entirely remotely over four weeks, the store generated 12,000 visitors in its first month and a significant volume of conversions (especially through retargeting from other channels). It also drove foot traffic to physical stores once they reopened, with customers wanting to see more of product ranges they discovered in the virtual store.
